"Gratis - but not valueless"

“35 years of working in theatre and dance were centred around an ongoing quest – searching and researching, a continuous questioning of the HOW rather than the WHY.”

  Incontro, Part I
Incontro is an improvised encounter between the 2 dancers Astad Deboo & Thomas Mettler from India and Switzerland. They danced in summer 2009 in front, in and around the church of Mogno (Architect: Mario Botta) in the mountains of Ticino / Switzerland, where Th.Mettler had invited Astad Deboo for a first research period of 2 weeks. This dance-improvisation was a starting point for a duet on stage which premiered one year later in october 2010 in theatres in Germany and Switzerland.

There is no set material - just pure improvising together - for a very first time.
